Transforming the gallery into a quasi paper jungle, Sanza’s installation Paper Work is a process oriented installation that reflects the patterns and phenomenon of growth and movement. Coming out of hibernation, the paper is eager to hang, rip and fall, ever evolving for the duration of the show.
Whiting is working on a body of line drawings. He draws upon the philosophies of playwrights Samuel Becket and Eugene Ionesco, though his sensibilities are projected upon the page, the result is always absurd and subjective in interpretation. Hipster looking kids stand alongside idols in densely forested scenes. One can only notice Sanza’s work placing viewers in the same scenarios.
